What should you expect when coming to Revolution Student Ministry? You first need to understand that this ministry is based on verses from the book of Romans:
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
We just don't want you to sit and be the same person week after week. We want you to be transformed and we want you to experience life change. But how does that happen?
- We want to know you and we want you to know us! Pastor Waldo will introduce himself to you and give you an opportunity to ask him any questions about him, his life and what he does. In addition, other youth will introduce themselves.
- We want to encourage and love you as a youth. What does this mean? We are not going to judge, criticize, or make fun of you. We are going to encourage you. Help you through your difficulties in life. Guide you along your journey. Ultimately, we want to encourage you and love you like Jesus did. We always provide you godly and practical wisdom, but it doesn't end there.
- We want to introduce to the Bible and Jesus. We want to show you from the Bible, God's plan for you. We want to show you that God provided a way that you can have a personal relationship with Him. Will we force you to accept this? Will we bribe you with candy or a mocha cappuccino? :-) Although tempting as those may be, this is your own journey and your own choice. We want to celebrate with you when you discover and accept Jesus into your heart. Click here to discover how to know Jesus personally.
- We will address any issues you wish to discuss from a biblical view. This includes, but not limited to, topics such as dating, sex, anger, forgiveness, fighting, love, and any other topic. Will we have the answers? You will have to come and find out!
- We also want to build a relationship with you! Being a part of family is important and your youth is a family. We want to be there for you in the good times and bad. We will walk with you and talk with you, and we will always love you!
